Allentown continues to expand in Europe. We’ve recently acquired a new storage, logistics, and technical workshop site in Switzerland. Located in Zürich, this 500 m² space is now the largest European site and the center of operations in the region. It completes the other Allentown sites of Düsseldorf (Neuss), Paris (Bussy St Georges), London (Reading), and A.CO in Milan (Varallo Pombia).
The company has decided to continue to significantly invest in Switzerland, to support growth and market needs. While it’s paradoxically a small country in size, Switzerland has a heavy focus and investment in the field of biomedical research.
Allentown first opened its European office in the United Kingdom in 2004. Just a short year later, Allentown France opened its doors, followed by Allentown Germany in 2010. Last year Allentown acquired A.CO, allowing us to expand our product offering. Allentown can now offer a complete range of LAS equipment – housing (rodent, large animal), various change station units, transfer and decontamination chambers, and a full range of washing equipment.
