Allentown is pleased to announce the creation of a Capital Equipment Division to expand services into the biomedical research market.

Allentown, NJ, USA – September 22nd 2020 – Allentown, the leading global partner to the biomedical research and laboratory animal science communities for more than 50 years, is proud to announce the creation of a new division which will further cement its reputation as a full solutions provider.
The Allentown Capital Equipment Division will focus on the designing, manufacturing, installing and servicing of capital equipment for biomedical research facilities. Allentown will offer its growing portfolio of washing and contamination control products, and with a new strategic alliance with Spain-based Matachana Group who is the global leader in sterilization, will be the exclusive provider of Matachana sterilizers to the North American market.

Heading up the newly formed division will be Wayne DeSantis, Director of the Capital Equipment Division. Wayne has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, life science and healthcare markets. “I have a passion for sharing knowledge, and helping our leading minds pursue the cures for diseases and ailments that impact all of our lives.” adds DeSantis. “My extensive experience allows me both a hands on and theoretical understanding of the challenges faced by scientists, finance personnel, manufacturing facilities, construction managers and service providers, and lets me partner with our customers to help define and achieve solutions specific to their wants and needs. The core of the Capital Equipment Division’s team will be equally as experienced. Kevin Nederfield has over 22 years’ experience in the laboratory animal science and pharmaceutical industries, specializing in washing, sterilization and automation. Russell Hugenschmidt is a professional with over 25 years of experience working with capital equipment across several markets. His experience ranges from manufacturing to project management to end user implementation.
Allentown’s Capital Equipment Division will work with leading architects and designers to help plan new buildings and renovations which require unique and thoughtful solutions for their capital equipment needs.
